LGBTQ+ Awareness and Allyship Training - Calderdale
We are delighted to share that we have several free LGBTQ+ Awareness and Allyship sessions coming in the next few months!
These 2 hour training sessions will look at key definitions, how to be an ally and the issues that LGBTQ+ people are facing.
The sessions will cover the following topics:
- Understanding LGBTQ+ terminology and concepts, and intersectionality
- Exploring and challenging our ideas about sexuality and gender
- The Equality Act and LGBTQ+ people’s rights
- Practicing being active bystanders against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia
- How to support trans clients and colleagues
- Understanding the history of LGBTQ+ rights in the UK as a tool for moving forwards
- Creating safe and inclusive workplace
To book onto the course:
This sessions will be held on Monday 2nd March 2026, Friday 13th March 2026, and Friday 27th March 2026.
You need only attend one session.
