Happy Valley Pride 2026

Brunswick will be joining Happy Valley Pride throughout its tenth anniversary festival, sharing information about the LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing projects that form part of Well Proud.

We will be at the festival’s opening event, Mr Teds Quiz, at The Old Gate in Hebden Bridge on Monday 20 July. This free launch celebration combines a pub quiz with drag, performance and plenty of queer chaos.

We will also be at Myra DuBois at Todmorden Hippodrome on Friday 24 July. At both events, there will be a special focus on Queer Bits, which brings together clear and inclusive information to help LGBTQ+ people understand cancer screening and the importance of early awareness.

The LEVEL team will also be at Catwalk Extravaganza with Ghetto Fabulous at Todmorden Town Hall on Wednesday 22 July, raising awareness of support around domestic abuse and harm within LGBTQ+ relationships.

On Saturday 25 July, we will be at the Big Day Out in Calder Holmes Park from 12 noon to 6.30pm. Brunswick is proud to once again sponsor the event’s Info Fair, bringing together organisations doing important work with LGBTQ+ communities across Calderdale.

The Brunswick and Well Proud teams will be on hand to share information and advice about sexual health, mental and physical wellbeing, stopping smoking, alcohol and drug support, domestic abuse and wider LGBTQ+ services. This will include information about Mission Zero, LEVEL, Queer as Smoke, DRAG, Queer Bits and our wider work.

You can also pick up a Well Proud tote bag packed with useful information to take away. Free, rapid and confidential HIV testing will be available on the day.

The Big Day Out is a free, family-friendly celebration featuring live music, drag, community activities, stalls, a wellbeing area and the Pink Pooch Parade. Dog owners can also pop by our stall for a few treats.
