Statement on Supreme Court Ruling

The Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of biological sex raises significant concerns. We respect the role of the courts, however we are worried this decision will adversely affect the legal rights and general wellbeing of Trans and non-binary people — including those we work alongside in Calderdale and Kirklees.

As the ruling is digested and its wider implications are better understood, we want to be clear in expressing our solidarity with the Trans community.

At The Brunswick Centre, we remain firmly committed to creating inclusive, supportive, and creative spaces. Standing with all of the LGBTQ+ community is part of who we are — now and always. We will continue to offer support, promote equality, and provide opportunities where everyone feels respected, safe, and seen.
