LGBTQ+ Allies Training
A half-day training event for multi-agency professionals
This will be an opportunity for professionals from a range of contexts to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to better support LGBTQ+ people in their roles and make their workplaces more inclusive.
Course content:
- Improved knowledge of LGBTQ+ words and meanings
- Improved understanding of identity, gender, sexuality and intersectionality
- Exploring where our ideas around sexuality and gender come from
- Unlearning and challenging prejudices
- Practicing being active bystanders against hate
- Creating safer and more inclusive spaces
How to book onto the course:
This training session is being held twice, one session in Huddersfield and one session in Halifax. Location will be disclosed once attendees sign up.
YOU NEED ONLY BOOK ONTO ONE COURSE
The Huddersfield session takes place on Thursday 21st March 2024 at 9am to 12:30pm.
The Halifax session takes place on Tuesday 12th March 2024 at 9am to 12:30pm.
