HIV Awareness Training
HIV awareness training is essential to educate individuals and communities about the importance of prevention, testing, and treatment.
Despite significant advancements in treatment, there is still a lack of awareness and understanding about HIV, leading to stigma and discrimination towards those living with the virus.
Modules include:
- Definitions around HIV
- History of HIV
- Basic HIV facts
- Transmission route
- CD4 and viral load
- Prevention and infection control - PEP and PrEP
- Undetectable = Untransmittable
- Challenging Stigma & Tackling Myths
- HIV and Mental Health
- and opportunities to extend your learning.
This training will:
- help dispel myths and misconceptions about HIV,
- reduce stigma and discrimination,
- improve the quality of life for those living with the virus.
This course will provide basic information on HIV, giving you a level of awareness that we encourage you to share with others.
On completion you will be awarded a certificate to download and keep.
The course is currently free (until December 2023).
