UK AIDS Memorial Quilt: Exclusive Viewing
On Wednesday 3rd June 2026, members of the Brunswick team, alongside colleagues from other VCSE organisations, had the privilege of attending an exclusive preview of the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt exhibition in Wakefield.
It was particularly moving to see the “Absent Friends” panel on display. Created by Brunswick (formally CHAL) service users in 1992, the panel was showcased alongside hundreds of other tributes, commemorating lives lost to AIDS and ensuring their stories continue to be remembered.
Wakefield is the first city outside London to host the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt in its entirety. The exhibition is free to visit at Wakefield Exchange until Sunday 7 June.
