Virginie Assal

With a track record of challenging power structures and working with minoritised communities to transform the societies we live in, Virginie is a fierce advocate for social justice and our collective liberation. They grew up in the suburbs of Paris (France), lives in Manchester, and spends most of their free time walking in the Peak and Lake District. As the Brunswick Centre's new board member, she aims to follow a community-led and trauma-informed practice to support the team and the organisation in the next part of their journey.
