Kathryn Hinchliff

Kathryn has over 20 years experience supporting victims of domestic abuse, most recently as CEO of Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership (Pdap). In 2025 she left this role for a calmer pace of life and now works as a domestic abuse consultant for the national charity SafeLives.
Kathryn has lived experience of domestic and sexual abuse as a child and is passionate about advocating for and amplifying the voices of survivors. She has used her own experiences to help improve practice and develop policy including featuring in a podcast series about the impact of abuse on children and her difficulties accessing mental health services in Kirklees.
Kathryn is the proud mum of a trans teenager and has benefitted from the services of the Brunswick centre as they supported her and her daughter whilst navigating her transition in 2020. It was this that led to her wanting to get more involved in the work of the Charity, alongside her involvement in the LGBT+ Domestic Abuse research project developed in partnership with Pdap.
In her spare time Kathryn loves to craft and can usually be found crocheting, needlefelting or sewing.
