Vigils for Brianna Ghey
The Brunswick Centre will be remembering Brianna this week in our LGBTQ+ youth groups across Calderdale and Kirklees.
“We want to provide an opportunity for young LGBTQ+ people to share their thoughts and feelings on this tragedy. We are holding vigils with our youth groups in Calderdale and Kirklees this week to remember Brianna and discuss the impact of this shocking crime. At the first one in Halifax, the young people all took a candle and shared how they were feeling and there is a real sense of anger and a sense that we are going backwards not forwards!"
